for someone who needs sushi once a week - here are my favorite sushi spots!
Toshokan
Address: 807 E 4th St, Austin, TX 78702
$$: $180/pp
this one is a hidden/not so hidden gem (IYKYK) — its a little tough to get reservations but not impossible. the chef opens up reservations every month on the 1st at 10AM CST. i highly recommend following his instagram to keep up! this 14 course omakase seats 6 intimately — we always have an amazing time and leave making new friends. we’ve gone 3x and counting ;)
Fukumoto
Address: 514 Medina St, Austin, TX 78702
one of my favorite sushi AND yakitori places
Neighborhood Sushi
Address: 1716 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704
hidden off south congress — delicious sushi, great vibes, but the most expensive $$$. this is not our go to, but its worth the shoutout
Uchi
Address: 801 S Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78704
we used to go to uchi all the time when we moved here in 2021, it’s a solid sushi spot that never disappoints, however, the Austin sushi scene is one of the fastest growing cuisines here.
